Have a restful summer!

English Language Arts

There are no more formal spelling words and tests for this year. For fun, we will practice spelling each other's first and last names since so many of us do not know them.

Grammar - We will continue to learn about the different forms of figurative language.

Reading - We will look at lesson 24, which focuses on the skill of Comparing and Contrasting.

Writing  -As an end of the year activity, we will reflect on all we learned in fourth grade and write a newspaper for the incoming class.

Social Studies

This week, students will be a part of a new "family" and work with a specific budget to create the ultimate family vacation. Similar to last week's assignment, there will be unexpected expenses along the way.

Math

We will add and subtract mixed numbers with like and unlike denominators.

Science

We will complete Investigation 4: Studying Lipids (oils, fats, and waxes). There will be a vocabulary test on Friday, May 17th.

Religion

We will finish our Ecclesiastics book.
