Students will research the item they desire, develop three strong reasons and support it with evidence, and then present it. I will share with the students that even though they may do an amazing job presenting their facts, I am not promising that Mom and Dad will be purchasing this item. It will be a great topic of conversation for you at the dinner table.

Social Studies

We will have some follow up discussions from our field trip from the Dairy Farm and create some questions about our 5 Cs for our jeopardy game. We will also talk about the guest speaker who visited us last week. Ms. Luna's daughter, Michelle, is a copper miner and was so gracious to spend the afternoon with us on Tuesday and shared some fascinating information with us.

We are multiplying multi-digit by single digit numbers. The strategies we are using are: area model, partial product, standard algorithm,  and bonding.

Please practice the x4s in preparation for a one minute quiz next week. Please practice 4x0 to 4x12 - it has to be mastered.

We are combining matter. We are mixing liquids with liquids, solids with liquids, and solids with solids. We are also measuring using a beaker and graduated cylinder and trying to establish which one is more accurate.

Religion

We are learning the prayer Salve Regina or Hail Holy Queen. The students will be tested next week.

We are also preparing to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation next week. We will make an Examination of Conscience and review the Act of Contrition.
